How to Enable Cookies

4nannies.com site users must be logged in with a valid user id and password to access member only features. 4nannies.com will assign a user id as part of the registration process. Your password was self selected. A successful login requires BOTH your member ID (or email account) & your password.

4nannies.com uses cookies to simulate a continuous connection for site users. Simply put, cookies allow the 4nannies.com website to 'remember' you as you move around the site. Cookies make it more convenient for users by allowing them to visit pages within 4nannies.com without having to reintroduce themselves (user name / password challenge) with each mouse click. Contrary to popular fears and misconceptions, cookies were not created to spy on or otherwise invade the privacy of Internet users. Cookies contain only information that users volunteer, and they do not have the capability of infiltrating a user's hard drive and sneaking away with personal information. The simple function of a cookie is that of helping the user navigate a web site with as little obstruction as possible.

Cookies are small data structures used by a web site (server) to deliver data to a web client (user); request that the client store the information; and in certain circumstances, return the information to the web site. 4nannies.com can thus "remember" information about users to facilitate their preferences for a particular site and allow the use of user passwords. The 4nannies.com delivers only first party cookies to the site user. The client stores cookie data in one or more flat files on its local hard drive.

Additionally, the cookies that 4nannies.com places on your browser are eliminated once you shut down your browser. This prevents another user of your computer from spoofing your identity on the site.

Occasionally a registered user will have problems logging into 4nannies.com. When you try to sign in to the 4nannies.com site, the original sign-in/registration page reappears after you submit your sign-in information. Presuming that you have a valid, non-expired user id and password, the problem is almost always related to the way your web browser accepts (or doesn't accept) cookies. Read the information below pertaining to your specific browser to check your settings.

Most popular webb browsers give users the power to control cookies. You are generally given the one of the following options:
